It’s time! Our Historical Marker Scavenger Hunt is now live!
Use the digital information below to find and visit as many of our county’s 15 historical markers as you can before Nov. 15, then use the form at the bottom of the page to submit proof of your visits. We prefer digital photos as proof, but if this isn’t possible, you may also answer the question provided for each marker to receive credit.
A printed version of the map and list is also available from the front desk of either library branch, and you may return your completed checklist with answers to the front desk if you are not submitting photos.
Everyone who participates will receive a gift, and if you visit at least 12 of the 15 markers, you’ll be entered into our grand prize drawing!
All responses must be received by 4 p.m. on Nov. 15 to be eligible for prizes.
Please be careful visiting markers and observe all traffic and property laws.
A slightly larger (but still single-page) printable version of the map and question list is also available here, and you may click here for a digital version of the map via Google Maps. (This version may be zoomed in/enlarged to a greater degree, and it should work with your smart device’s GPS in most cases.)
You can participate by either submitting digital photos of each marker you visited or, if that isn’t possible, answering a question about each one to prove you were really there. Just make sure you select the correct method when asked on the form below.
Please check your information carefully for errors before submitting! After your submission has been received and reviewed (within 72 hours), you will receive an emailed gift voucher to take to the front desk for your participation prize, so it is crucial that we have your correct email address.
If you have not received this voucher within 72 hours, please check your Spam folder to make sure it wasn’t accidentally redirected there. If you can’t find it, contact us through our online form or call us at 270-338-4760.
