Thistle Cottage will host featured November artist Donna Richardson for an open house on November 18 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Richardson, a native of England who now resides in Greenville, Ky., is a nationally recognized artist. Her work has been licensed by Home Interiors and Gifts, Bradford Exchange, Leisure Arts and more. She co-owned an art publishing company, Creative Source Inc., for 25 years with her friends Jan Anderson and Virginia Cummins. After selling the company in 2006, she considered retiring but was unable to leave her love of artwork behind. Richardson continues to produce commissioned paintings out of her own studio and to license her work for use by other companies. She also produces artwork for use on Christmas ornaments, ceramic plates and other keepsakes.
The work on display at Thistle Cottage this month includes several of her popular paintings of teddy bears, as well as angel portraits, a series of owls and more. Thirty-four of Richardson’s pieces of artwork are exhibited at Thistle Cottage.
Richardson will be available during the open house to discuss her work with visitors. Light refreshments will also be provided.
Richardson’s work is on display at Thistle Cottage until Nov. 18, 2016.
