It’s hard to believe this year has flown by so quickly, but it’s almost time to start decorating for our Jubilee of Trees at Thistle Cottage! If you know of any business or organization that would like to decorate a tree, we need to know as soon as possible, preferably by Nov. 9. We will continue to accept sign-ups until we run out of trees, but Nov. 9 is the deadline to be included on our promotional materials. All trees must be themed with a children’s book of your organization’s choice. (We prefer that every tree be different, so if you have your heart set on a certain theme, let us know as soon as possible so we can reserve that book for you!) We’ll provide trees for the first several organizations that sign up, but participating organizations must provide lights and decorations. You also have the option of providing your own tree if you prefer or if we run out.
The 2016 Jubilee of Trees will officially open Dec. 3 with our annual Pictures with Santa event and will remain open to the public until Dec. 30.
