Tiny Art Show at Thistle Cottage Feb. 2024

Muhlenberg County Public Libraries is holding a Tiny Art Show!
We welcome all children and teens (ages 18 months to 18 years) to participate in this activity. Artwork submissions will be displayed in the gallery at Thistle Cottage in February 2024.
“Tiny Art” is exactly what it sounds like. All submissions must be small – about 4”x6”. (If you’re using a store-bought canvas, a 4”x4” square is also acceptable.) Subject matter must be appropriate for all ages, but otherwise, the design is up to the artist.
All artwork must be original, created by the submitting artist.
Artwork submissions must be turned in by close of business on Wednesday, January 31. Art can be dropped off at any branch of Muhlenberg County Public Libraries during business hours.
Submissions must include the artist’s name, age, grade level and phone number on the back of the work.
Artists to welcome to use their own supplies to create their tiny masterpieces, but we are also hosting a “Creation Station” event with some supplies provided on January 24 at the Central City library. Interested artists can drop in between 3 p.m. and close of business to use the materials provided.
Artwork received by the January 31 due date will be displayed in the main exhibit gallery at Thistle Cottage Feb. 5-29. Additionally, a judge will review the pieces and prizes will be awarded to the top pieces in each age category.
There will also be an Open House and reception on Feb. 5 from 4 to 6 p.m. in honor of the participating artists. The public is invited to view the art exhibition and meet the artists who are present. Light refreshments will be provided.
