Summer Reading begins June 1!

We have Summer Reading programs for all age groups from 18 months to adult.

If you provided an email when you registered, you should have received an email inviting you to our online reading log software, Reader Zone. (It can take up to 48 hours for registrations to be processed and emails sent.)
Beginning Monday, June 1, you can start logging your time spent reading. Please make use of the Book Bank feature on the app to let us know what you read and review those items! We will need that information for our final reports, so please make sure you keep track of what books you have read as much as possible.
If you don’t want to use the app to track your reading, you can also use paper reading logs. Printable versions of our logs are available at the end of this post. Just print as many as you need and return to the library by mail or in our book drops.

We will also begin posting Summer Reading-related videos and activities on our social media pages, YouTube channel and Web site on June 1. We’ll be posting content for families with preschool and elementary age children each Monday through June 22, activities for teens on Tuesdays and informational videos for adults on Thursdays. We will also share additional content on Wednesdays and Fridays, including some videos provided by Muhlenberg County Public Schools faculty members.

Activity kits are available for pickup on Thursdays and Fridays for children’s programs. These kits include supplies for the crafts and activities included in our weekly videos. Please check your email for dates, times and locations to pick up your kits. Kits are limited to those who registered for Summer Reading, and unless prior arrangements have been made, you must pick up your kit at the location you selected when registering.
Kits will be available each week for anyone registered by Tuesday of that week. Late registrants will be eligible for the following week’s kits.
