A classic game was brought to life last week at Central City Public Library.
Muhlenberg County Public Libraries hosted a special life-sized Candyland event for children up to 5th grade.
The event was put together by the Muhlenberg County Public Libraries Teen Advisory Board to give kids something to do during spring break. Thirty-seven kids showed up to play the game.
As each player moved around the huge gameboard, they passed special spaces featuring famous characters from the game. Characters gave treats to the players as they reached the special spaces. When each player reached the end of the game board, they met King Candy, who allowed them to choose a special treasure from his treasure box.
This was a fun event for everyone involved. We look forward to hosting similar events in the future!
Candyland was a huge success!
