Smithsonian’s Hometown Teams – Open House

Everyone is invited to join Muhlenberg County Public Libraries for the opening of a very special exhibit at Thistle Cottage!
The Smithsonian’s Hometown Teams: How Sports Shape America exhibit opens Aug. 25 with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m.
The exhibit focuses on the impact local sports has on communities. Local memorabilia is included.
The open house immediately precedes the 2018 Muhlenberg County Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony and banquet. Hall of Fame inductees will be honored during the open house and will participate in a ribbon cutting for the exhibit. The induction banquet will be held at 5 p.m. at Second Baptist Church in Greenville following the open house.
Everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite team’s colors, jerseys or uniforms and check out this exciting opportunity on August 25!
The Hometown Teams exhibit will remain on display at Thistle Cottage through September 29.
Hometown Teams has been made possible at Muhlenberg County Public Libraries by Kentucky Humanities.
