Barry Duvall Book Signing

Local author Barry Duvall will visit Muhlenberg County Public Libraries’ Thistle Cottage next week for a book signing and presentation.

Duvall will introduce his new book, Wings of Immorality: Dark Cloud over Greenville, Ky., at the event, which is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 8, at 6 p.m. at Thistle Cottage. The book discusses infamous Greenville resident Miriam Eaves and her companion, Bert Wing.

Duvall will briefly discuss the history of Eaves and Wing and the events included in his book. He will answer questions from the audience, and he will also be available to sign copies of the book. Visitors are encouraged to bring their copies of the book so they will be able to reference them during the presentation.

Duvall is a well-known historian in Muhlenberg County. He has also written another popular book, My Last Day in Browder, regarding the 1910 mine explosion in Browder, and he has spoken at events around the region about both books and the events discussed therein. He also runs the very popular Muhlenberg County Kentucky History Group on Facebook.

Wings of Immorality can be purchased at the Coal County Vendor Mall in Greenville, Attic Heirlooms in Greenville, Brothers Country Store and Deli in Drakesboro, the Central City tourism office, online from Amazon or eBay or directly from Duvall. Duvall can be reached by email at barry.duvall66@gmail.com to purchase a book.
